- Support No es una wikipedia, es una vergüenza. No aporta absolutamente ninguna información y es objeto vandalismo. Hasta ahora nadie ha sido capaz de escribir un artículo normal, sería un milagro que la situación mejore. --Freddie Mercury 21:52, 26 November 2006 (UTC) Translation: "This isn't a wikipedia, it's an embarrassment. It doesn't contribute any information whatsoever, and it's the target of vandalism. So far nobody has been able of writing a normal article; an improvement of the situation would be a miracle."
Oppose closing chechen wiki
edit-Oppose: I will learn Chechen and add more activity, give me some time, I mean its a nice language. :) --Ice201 05:15, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose, strong oppose. A lot of wikipedias have been "sleeping" for a long time, but became active when a couple of dedicated contributors emerged. Just wait. Sleeping wikipedia does no harm to anybody. Kneiphof 23:49, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose Give Chechen some time, they will be more active when they have electricity and later internet in Grozny. There is absolutly no reason to close a Wikipeia for a live alnd well used language. Mehrdad 09:35, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

- Strongly OpposeI understand it's maybe not easy to write into wiki from a land boiling with war and red with blood. But closing it now would be amoral. After Chechen people acieves freedom from occupation, they would make use of proper wiki.89.110.2.140 03:45, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Strongly Oppose Whilst I oppose the closure I think the vote above should be disqualifed, I actually took part in restoring Russian territorial integrity in 1999-2000, fought in a Cossack Volunteer Regiment, liberating Chechnya from terrorist scum. Right now it is a thriving repbulic that is being pacified, within a few years more and more Chechens will have access to computers and Internet. Closing a wiki is not the way. Maybe temporary conserving it, yes, as issues with admin will be difficult, per the wiki lacking admin, but definetely not closing it. --Kuban kazak 21:41, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose I don't see any benefits of closing. Lack of editors at this point is not a valid reason to vanish the wikipedia, and to delete articles that have been already created. KPbIC 19:47, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

- Oppose. I am the administrator of Chechen Wikipedia. First off, I believe it was highly rude of the nominator to bring this action forward without talking to me first. Second, yes, some of the pages decreased when I got my hands on the adminship (due to Danny's request). It was done due to copyright or spam issues. Third, I have been asked by several users to help them learn Chechen. Fourth, I completely agree with that Kuban kazak said: give them a few years and CE will become a good Wiki.
