  • A Language Committee member provided the following comment:
"Speedy" closure, as this request will not result in a closure of the wiki. Type 1 does not apply here, as there is no "absence of content since the wiki's creation". If someone (former contributors?) wants to, they are free to put up an "inactivity notice" in the style of the "soft closures" of other Wikinews subdomains. --MF-W 20:21, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dead project, no activities, stale news, absence of fresh content. A history of no sustainable user community. --ꠢꠣꠍꠘ ꠞꠣꠎꠣ (talk) 06:13, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. There are no active users there and it does not appear to be. Kitabc12345 (talk) 00:33, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This project has almost three thousand published articles, and in a random observation of 40-50 articles, it appears that most of the pages have sufficient news content. While it is true that there is little activity, I would suggest a soft closure if the community prefers it, rather than a full closure. Asked42 (talk) 12:40, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, there are several Wikinewses being soft-closed, not a good reason for re-Incubating but more like for temporarily archiving the project. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 04:46, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose closing as has many acceptable articles Atlantic306 (talk) 19:12, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
