Requests for comment/Blocked for no reason at Greek Wikipedia

This is a subpage; for more information, see the Requests for comments page.

Hello, I would like to ask for help. Recently I was blocked on Greek Wikipedia indefinitely for no reason by user Kalogeropoulos. Reason which this user indicated is use of multiple accounts, as showed here, while I have not used any other account on that language Wikipedia nor misused such. My global account is 10 years old, I am active Wikipedian. I was discussing also with some other users. What I did is that I just suggested concerns about deletion of some articles by some other user in the discussion. My edit was ment just to evaluate his actions by other users there and say, if his actions were appropriate or not. My concern was immediately deleted. There was not even one notification before he used block.

Checkuser utility can easily prove that there is no such reason, I have not used any account as is suggested. In this case there is a problem that on other Wikimedia Projects such as English Wikipedia, every user can always request for review of their block (Wikipedia:Appealing a block), but on Greek Wikipedia there is no such option as block is complete and you cannot even ask for review in your discussion. I have also asked some three Greek Wikipedia Administrators on Wikimedia Commons (as here, here), but no one reacted there to my message after 1 month of waiting for response. Can you please help me? What should I do? Thank you very much. --ThecentreCZ (talk) 07:37, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kalogeropoulos Would it be possible to provide some explanation about the block? Was a checkuser analysis performed? TheJoyfulTentmaker (talk) 16:39, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The discussion is open, he can ask there to be unblocked. No there was not checkuser analysis, only ducktest. He used the same pattern of attack against another admin, used frequently by another blocked user. Imperative style of demand on restoring an article deleted as mechanical translation Kalogeropoulos (talk) 20:11, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
When more users, not just blocked ones, adressed this style of immadiate deletion of articles, it doesn't mean it must be same person. I am sorry, but message you mentional was no "imperative attack" on admin at all, but this was my worried request to undone or explain actions of this user, which I posted on 15 June 2024. This was clearly not reason for block, reason given at block is: usage of multiple accounts. I was not blocked in any way after 3 weeks, when I posted this request, because this was normal concern in the discussion. I was blocked on 6 July 2024, the real reason was, that I posted on the same day (6 July 2024) detailed concern about administrator conduct in here: Αφαίρεση δικαιωμάτων/2024/Εὐθυμένης, which was immadiatelly removed. (Administrators#Misuse of tools) I summarized there in detail questionable behavior of administrator, also with examples from history which I analyzed. This absolutely constructive objection was immadiatelly removed and I was blocked for pointing at these problamatic conductions. This concern was written in absolutelly professional and constructive way. Normal procedure would be to evaluate concerns given and accept or decline notice as suitable or not.
Block log clearly say usage of multiple accounts. Not any other conducts. I don't even live in Greece, I dont even have any connection to other mainly Greek-user IP accounts, which maybe didn't followed the rules and were correctly blocked. I must again strictly refuse this reason as I have not used there any other account. That doesn't mean that conduction of these specific administrators was in accordance with Wikipedia standards in cases of articles removal of articles. Thank you. ""same pattern"", thats a lame explanation. ----modern_primat ඞඞඞ TALK 12:46, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
07:33, 15 June 2024 Εὐθυμένης deletes work by ThecentreCZ
22:29, 15 June 2024 ThecentreCZ requests restore (ignored)

20:21, 5 July 2024 ThecentreCZ posts administrator recall petition for Εὐθυμένης
10:40, 6 July 2024 Kalogeropoulos fully blocks ThecentreCZ indefinitely for sockpuppetry
10:42, 6 July 2024 Kalogeropoulos reverts petition

This is definitely a double abuse of administrative rights in cooperation by user Εὐθυμένης and Kalogeropoulos. Not counting the petition revert.

Local Administrator Recall Petition page is also populated by requests regarding Kalogeropoulos.
Last petition on 15 Sept 2023 was rejected with 3 votes opposing penalty (2 IPs, 1 logged - with no reasoning).
Previous petition on 10 Sept 2022 also rejected with 3 votes supporting penalty (3 logged - with reasoning), claiming not enough votes.
So this behaviour apparenty finds support or at least tolerance by bureaucrats deeming the process for controlling administative authority useless.
The other of the two RfCs related to Greek Wikipedia posted here also regards the same people.

This situation should get the attention of the global community, as there is no means to be controlled locally.
Misuse of administrative tools is noted as a very serious issue in Wikipedia Policy.
Revert, block, ignore when not dealing with blatant vandalism constitutes censorship, and violates the most significant Wikipedia policy. Nervren (talk) 19:43, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Kalogeropoulos So... following your response above, there's really no reason for the block. Nervren (talk) 09:44, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This separate section is for the blocking of user Nervren by user Εὐθυμένης on local wiki two days ago (12 Nov).

@Εὐθυμένης: Can you please give an explanation as to why you blocked me indefinitely for the reason of using multiple accounts, after I posted a comment of concern on the Noticeboard about an issue of misinformation on el.wikipedia?

Simple editor Popular Punk reverted the Administrator's Noticeboard right before the block, and also reverted my response on Greek Rebel's talk page (the user who filed the 15 Sept 2023 recall petition linked above). Is he an incognito steward or something? He also participated in that petition with his old account Ιπποκράτης only to make a personal attack on the filer.

[Note: el.wiki does not have a UTRS so other projects are the only means of communication for fully blocked "vandals" like me. I didn't open a new RfC so as not to populate the list and because this one is similar.] Nervren (talk) 09:43, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User Nervren has followed a pattern of disruptive behavior during the past weeks, accusing wikipedia administrators as communists and historical revisionists, and attacking the entire community as communist sympathisers. His first contribution was an offensive comment as you can see here on the talk page of the article about the liberation of Athens from the Germans in WW2. His action was reverted by administrators user:MARKELLOS and user:CubicStar. After he was reverted multiple times, he went on to the administrators noticeboard to ask for action against MARKELLOS because in his eyes markellos was "edit warring". After it was explained to him multiple times how wikipedia functions and why markellos was not edit warring -I also initially AGF and explained to him how WP functions, he claimed that he "doesn't understand" what is being explained to him.

Afterwards he continued his pattern of attacking the community as communists and ,specifically, claimed that "[Markellos]is trying to whitewash the history of the Communist Party of Greece"

He follows exactly the same behavior as blocked suckpupeteer user:Vrahomarinaner. His self-victimization against the "communist" administrators of the Greek Wiki is far from the reality. If you still have doubts, I can also provide you with a word-by-word translation of all of his comments in the greek wiki. IMO, An obvious case of WP:NOTHERE.Popular Punk (talk) 11:15, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It should also be noted that i have blocked my old account, Ιπποκράτης2020 from the Greek WIki. I have only one account that I use, and it is Popular Punk. Another false accusation by the aforementioned greek wp "contributor". Popular Punk (talk) 12:23, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

First you should decide if I am the vandal Vrahomarinaner or the vandal Skylax you said before. Secondly are you an official advocate of Εὐθυμένης, if no let him say why he blocked me. Thirdly it's not your actions that I questioned here, I'm sorry for mentioning you in the first place, my bad. Forthly you still accuse me of things I never did trying to create a pattern of fascist for me again, I already linked to my posts so everyone can judge. Fifthly fix your links cause they don't work (not that it would make any difference if they worked). Lastly please don't spam anything that comes to your head in this place also. Sorry for mentioning you again, we obviously can't communicate but you at least were willing to talk to me in contrast to the other reverters. I am 100% positive that we could communicate if we really talked about the subject (in a content dispute) but revert spamming never let this happen. Cheers. Nervren (talk) 14:03, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You dont wanna talk, you came attacking and accusing everyone on greek wiki as communist sympathizers without any reason and yet you have the audacity to play the victim. Boo hoo, cry me a river. Popular Punk (talk) 15:13, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Insisting on things that never happened? Two users don't let me post a single line comment on the article talk page (breaking core wikipedia rules), and I am the one who dont wanna talk? You are off topic, again, we talk about my "sockpupetry" here. Nervren (talk) 16:42, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep playing the victim. The diffs clearly indicate otherwise considering the "things that never happened". Popular Punk (talk) 16:56, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh!! the diffs... ok whatever! Nervren (talk) 19:17, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
