Requests for comment/sysop rights abuse in kawiki

The following request for comments is closed. Closed as inactive (no comments in two years) per Requests for comment/Policy. * Pppery * it has begun 04:11, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am one of the active user in ka.wiki (see my contributions here). I was blocked yesterday by one of the sysops and ss it was explained on my talk page the reason was adding Georgian Soviet Encyclopedia in Literature section (this is Further reading section in ka.wiki) of the article God (see my change here). This is so ridiculous reason I assume the real reason is my activity here, on meta (pls. see previous still open RFC's here and here, also this) and in kawiki against sysops capturing all the power by themselves against Wikipedia principles. Please, also notice, that almost all other users voting against ka.wiki sysops in above liked discussions are blocked, were blocked during this year or forced to be inactive in ka.wiki. My request is to remove my 6 month block in ka.wiki --M. (talk) 05:39, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I believe @Deu: was also indef blocked a few years back, which was also a clear abuse of sysop tools. My only suggestion would be to hold an rfc here (on meta) to remove the admin rights off the admins who've abused their tools since the kawiki admin abuse issue has just gone in circles. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 00:58, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Right. Users of ka.wiki have tried to solve issues like this locally with participation of community in ka.wiki . But when f. e. User:Rastrelli F opened topic in ka.wiki's village pump in order to discuss unblocking DEU sysops closed the discussion in less then an hour and immediately blocked user Rastrelli F. This is why I try to solve this issue here (Please also note, that ka.wiki doesn't have arbitration committee or any other tool to review sysops decision locally. Also as I am blocked in kawiki, I ask stewards to notify kawiki sysops about this topic according to policy --M. (talk) 04:42, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it's kinda sad to see how kawiki's going. Hopefully it will actually be resolved in this RfC. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 05:53, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The situation on Georgian Wikipedia has been alarming for years. Some users of Meta have been reporting about this for a long time: 1, 2, 3, 4. Please note that all users who objected to the administrators' abuse of rights in these discussions were either permanently blocked, or periodically blocked, or subjected to constant bullying. During these years, many good and experienced users have simply left the Georgian Wikipedia, because it is not pleasant to be a volunteer in such an environment. Admins of KaWiki abuse rights in a variety of ways:

  • Blocking unwanted users for no reason or blocking for an unreasonably long period of time for a minor error;
  • Bullying of unwanted users. Usually completely irrational: emphasis on gender or age (high or low), discussion of private life, vulgar form of address;
  • Gathering power in just a few users. Note that admins are also bureaucrats at the same time for years. To achieve this state they changed the rules with procedural violations;
  • Refusal to remove the status of an administrator even though according to the rules due to small activity they had to remove the status several times already;
  • Discussions with different opinions are blocked from the beginning. Users do not have the ability to object to admin actions in their native language;
  • Encourage privileged users. Encourage plagiarism committed by a privileged user. Encourage poor quality articles written by a privileged user;
  • Meatpuppetry.

The facts confirming all these points are given in the links above and if you wish I will refer the links again. Block of User M. must be removed and any action taken against the admin. Thanks. Deu. 06:39, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Explaining the reason for the block by the admin is simply shameful. He says the article "God" could not cite the Georgian Soviet Encyclopedia as a source. For reference, this is the only academic universal and complete encyclopedia published in Georgian. Deu. 06:48, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question to admins of KaWiki by Deu

edit

@Otogi: @MIKHEIL: @David1010:
Dear admins of KaWiki, It seems that you have banned the book, in particular the only academic universal complete encyclopedia in Georgian. And you are persecuting everyone who uses this book. Is that so? Deu. 08:28, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am one of the active participants in kawiki. I was permanently blocked on 20 March 2021 for taking part in a discussion and speaking my mind. (see Wikipedia: Forum / Suggestions). Neither the administrators nor the bureaucrats responded to the request to remove the block (unfortunately the administrators are also bureaucrats). On November 1, 2021, I was removed from the articles block but I am still blocked permanently from the talk pages (I cannot wreite my opinion). Please, notice that almost all other users voting against ka.wiki sysops in discussions are blocked or forced to be inactive in ka.wiki. --Zangala (talk) 18:50, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Administrators block unwanted users and give completely unrealistic reasons. So were blocked: Deu, M., Zangala, me and others. I'm not going to write a big comment. More details (including my comments) can be found here - Requests for comment/Vote of confidence on sysops and unblock for user Deu on kawiki, Requests for comment/Probleme in der Georgische Wikipedia. --გიო ოქრო 21:15, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
