Wikipedia in the Austrian language, as per the so called "Moldovan Wikipedia". No reason to use double standards. —Greier 18:20, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

*Strong SupportDahn Not my vote: I will confirm this if asked on en:wiki, and, if any, all my contributions to meta will be advertised on my userpage on en:wiki. Thanking Khoikhoi for the warning. 82.76.86.64 11:05, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Аусгезайхнете Идее - их траге цу айне Ɵстеррайхише Википедия бай, венн айне һергештеллт вирд. Көннен вир ин дас Кириллише Алфабет дорт шрайбен?--Theios tou Euthymiou 23:26, 23 November 2006 (UTC) (brilliant idea - I would contribute to an Austrian Wikipedia when one is made. Will we be able to write in the Cyrillic alphabet there?)[reply]
Я, я, зер интересант. Ди Кириллише Дойче википедия - дас ист фантастиш! Руссен унд Украинерен вирден лахен зер филь! :-))) (Yes, German wikipedia in Cyrilics will be constant source of laugh for Russians and Ukrainians) --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 19:56, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. :-) Khoikhoi 01:43, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So here you voted against, and on moldovan wiki you voted for.... Malice in it`s purest form... But actually I never though otherwise about you... Yet another confirmation... Greier 11:16, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
On Moldovan Wiki, people wanted to contribute to it in good faith. This is not the case here. Khoikhoi 04:23, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like good faith to you, due to your pov on the issue. To others, inculding to Moldovans, it is an insult. That wikipedia is basically the work of an American frustrated, egocentric teenager... Greier 10:27, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Not enough people interested in maintaining the project, and Austrian is a dialect, not a language. Creating a Wikipedia for every single dialect of a language is completely unnecessary--it's basically like creating a Fork of an entire Wikipedia--and should be discouraged where possible. AmiDaniel 05:31, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse me!?!?!?! I find your reply insulting, considering that the so-called Moldovan Wikipedia, is in existance for almost a year now, despite the fact that there IS NO SUCH LANGUAGE!!!! For the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the so-called "Moldovan language is not even a dialect. They state that the Literary language of Moldova is Romanian. If you are really interested in making Wikipedia better, and if you want others (me for example) to assume good faith of you, please get involved into the Moldovan Wikipedia issue as well, don`t just simply vote here, say three words, and be satisfied with how constructive your activity here is... Greier 10:27, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You are right here, Amidaniel. I shall move the proposal there. Greier 10:27, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The dicussion is futile, the spoken language of Austria is Bairisch and it already has a wikipedia project in the incubator. The Austrian standard language is identical to the one of FRG, there is one unified institute for German language.84.167.218.158 02:15, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Does not exist a Wikipedia in german? Why another? --Jordi G 18:37, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Support Please, if you have personal issues against the person who proposed, don't vote and let thins flow naturally. If it's really is a bad idea people with an objetive perspective on the issue won't let this proposal become a project. Five supporters in 6 days is a big deal, and means that it will be very easy to find enthusiasts. Remember, wikipedia's goal is to be the sum of all human knoledge. Do not leave dialects aside, specially if there is people willing to work on the project. I support this effort to honor and celebrate Austrian culture and strongly encourage opposers to please reconsider their votes leaving personal issues aside. I'm Mexican, but I think every culture should be celebrated in wikipedia.--T-man 05:06, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. I'm an Austrian, and I can tell you: There's no single Austrian dialect. There's two larger dialect continuums, one in common with Bavaria in Germany, and one in common with German-speaking Switzerland. There already is a test Wikipedia on TestWiki for the Bavarian dialect continuum, so this proposal is absolute nonsense. —Nightstallion (?) 20:04, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
