Arguments in favour

edit
  • Belorussian language has a developed culture, including literature, and should have its own Wikisource. This Wikisource will also be useful for studies of Belorussian cuture, laws, language, and I hope this project can unite all Belorussians despite of their political views, and work with this project can lessen the contradictions in Belorussian Internet-society. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 14:33, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

General discussion

edit
  • Since this wikisource edition should be a collection of original text in whatever orthography they have been originally written, I sincerely hope that this project will unite the two camps which currently run separate wikipedia editions (be: and be-x-old:) --Johannes Rohr 22:13, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • PS: I don't know about Belarusian copyright law - Are the works of Janka Kupala already in the public domain? IIRC, according to German law, this takes 70 years after the author's death. What are the regulations in Belarus? --Johannes Rohr 22:20, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
