There are anomalous jumps in the number of daily edits from it.m.wikipedia.org. There was definitely a bug between 2015-01-09 and 2015-01-24 where no unregistered users managed to edit. Sudden decreases (of more than 50 %) are visible on 2015-02-11 and 2015-01-09, in particular, dates when there was a deployment. Preceding numbers were then suddenly recovered within few weeks in some cases, for instance on 2015-01-25 when supposedly "nothing happened" (no deployment, no site-wide changes).

Simple queries can show such fluctuations for edits and editors, logged in or not:

The effect however seems to be shown most cleanly by the count of rev_user_text (usernames or IP addresses) which edited daily:
