Unhiding an old version of hr:Wikipedija:Kafić

Hi, I need help to unhide an old version of hr:Wikipedija:Kafić/Arhiv 46. The current oldest version is from March 7th 2008, by Roberta F., but it already contains edits from 3 people (see history). I have an information that Roberta F. hid that version to protect Kubura from exposing his sockpuppet Kamarad Walter (inactive since 2010., after it became obvious). I tried to restore it several times, but I failed, maybe because the page is moved in between time. Could someone help me restore that old version? --Lasta (talk) 11:08, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Kamarad_Walter does not have any deleted or suppressed edits. Ruslik (talk) 20:38, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
Ruslik0, that's interesting, because here (March 7th 2008) you can see it's first version of the page, by Roberta F., with several comments by Kamarad Walter included. It's obvious that some of the deleted previous versions are by Kamarad Walter. I bet Kubura has some deleted edits from March 7th 2008. Let's get to the bottom of this. --Lasta (talk) 10:21, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
The missing history is not deleted and is located at hr:Wikipedija:Kafić/Arhiv 56. (By the way I made an error - Kamarad Walter does have deleted contributions). Ruslik (talk) 20:50, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Wikibook

Bengali wikibook needs to import templates and modules from English wikibook for development so I am applying for importer and administrator rights. However, I am requesting to give it for 6 months.thank you Mcepy (talk) 17:43, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello. @Mcepy. I am sorry but is not the right page to ask for permissions. You should use Steward requests/Permissions instead. However please note that before posting your request in that page you need to ask the Bengali Wikibooks community first whether they are happy with you having those permissions (e.g. by an RfA at bn:b:উইকিবই:প্রশাসক হওয়ার আবেদন) for at least one week (unless local policy requires an extended discussion period); even if you're the only active contributor at that project. You should also advertise the request in bn:b:উইকিবই:পড়ার ঘর. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You can also ask NahidSultan or Pmlineditor for assistance as they both speak Bengali as well. Best regards. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 18:31, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Also, please note that to import pages and revisions from other projects you'll need to configure the import sources first. You'll need to create a Phabricator ticket for that. See requesting wiki configuration changes for help in that regard. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 18:32, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Mcepy is a confirmed sock of LTA Skh sourav halder. CUwiki has more information. Thanks.~ Nahid Talk 08:57, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Two RfCs involving jawiki and yuewiki

Both two RFCs (Requests for comment/Steward rights abuse and threats by User:Rxy on the Japanese Wikipedia and Requests for comment/Spam and admin abuse on yuewiki 粵文維基百科虛假文章及管理員濫用權力問題) appears to be stale, and there is not much activity about it. IMO, both of these two RfCs should be closed in the same way as Requests for comment/Appeal the global lock for Rightandlight (note that Rxy RfC involves a globally locked user due to their comments in RfC). SMB99thx 01:44, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Requests for comment/Spam and admin abuse on yuewiki 粵文維基百科虛假文章及管理員濫用權力問題 is not stale. The problems have not been addressed.--Roy17 (talk) 08:08, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
Oh. That's unfortunate. SMB99thx 12:21, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
I closed one , the next one as I am from zh (zh-yue is a dialect of zh) I can't close and I know these users in some way, not the best person to close. I will agree the zh-yue needs more time to discuss here. Nothing more to do for now. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 08:52, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

User_talk:Martin_Urbanec#Edgar181

I want other stewards (and community members) to review this action. In my opinion even it is acceptable grounds per Global locks it does not mean a global lock is necessary, as the issue is nowhere recent and a global lock does not add anything useful to the status quo. (Note this applies to the main account only; I am not against locking any socks.)--GZWDer (talk) 21:37, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Oppose maybe if it was in December 2019 I'd be cool with it. Too late now. TonyBallioni since you caught him what do you say? --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 19:21, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
I don’t think it should have been locked as there was no ongoing disruption and it was requested by an account with no real connection to the situation. A lock a year after the fact is confusing. I inquired about this on checkuser-l and was told it met the criteria for cross-wiki abuse, so I dropped it as I don’t really think it’s a big deal either way, but yeah, I was confused by this. And I want to stress that I don’t think this is a big deal: Edgar isn’t likely coming back, so the lock isn’t really changing anything. There’s the question of if he wanted to appeal, but if he expressed a desire to appeal I think he’d be unlocked. I wish others (non-stewards) would just leave this situation alone, though. There’s no reason to keep dragging it up. TonyBallioni (talk) 19:28, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
I instead think Edgar will come back productively one day (probably after several years, comparing with a very similar case, Ricky81682, which is blocked for 38 months). Anyway I strongly oppose this lock - it is possible that Edger may be able to contribute constructively even now, either in a wiki that he is not blocked, or in Commons/Wikidata (which the block can be lifted by any administrator after an already-passed standard offer period).--GZWDer (talk) 12:22, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
