At first glamce, I wondered what on earth this page was doing at meta since it describes the enwiki arb com, not the concept arb com more in a more general sense. Having this page at meta eems to imply that the workings and definitions of the enwiki are com defines what and how an arb com is and should act. I agree the enwiki arb com is a very important inspiration for probably all the different arb coms around, for two reasons: 1) it was the first one. 2) it was created by our almight god-king Jimbo, and so this way of dealing with things should have his approval.

The problem is bigger than this page, really. Meta has served several purposes, of which two are distinctly very different: meta discussions for English Wikipedia, and stuff above project level. If Meta is to become a functional wiki concerning things above project level (does anyone still believe in that?) I sincerely think all this enwiki stuff has to been thrown out and replaced with material which is truly above project level. // habj 13:35, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

I agree with habj. This page needs a major re-edition. In it's actual state, it's useless for projects other than en-wiki. Jtico 13:44, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I have rewritten the page to try and make it more global. Additional edits welcomed. Picaroon (Talk) 01:29, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
