Notification of upcoming reporting due date

edit

Greetings Aafi, Numis Zuhair,

This is a notification to bring to your attention that your organization reporting date is coming up in 12 day(s). Wikimedia Affiliates are required to submit an annual activity report covering the entirety of the 12-month agreement period in order to prompt review for a renewal. Reports must be written in English, posted to meta via the Wikimedia Affiliates Data Portal.

This page is used to track how organizations and groups are meeting reporting requirements described in their agreements with the Wikimedia Foundation (e.g. chapter agreements, thematic organization agreements, user group agreements). It is the central place where affiliates can add reports about their activities, share their plans, and even news or social media channels with the wider movement. When new reports are available, organizations and groups should add them to this page to keep their columns up to date.

As noted on the meta Reports page, your organization’s 2025 annual reporting will be due in 2025-01-15. Please be sure to:

  • Post your 2025 annual reporting to the meta via the Wikimedia Affiliates Data Portal as soon as possible to return to compliance with your user group agreement.
  • Check that your group’s page is also up to date with past report links for historical record-keeping, and
  • Please send an email to Wikimedia-l in order to share with a movement-wide audience.

If you have any questions or need any further guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to wadportal wikimedia.org.

Best regards,

Wikimedia Affiliates Data Portal

@RamzyM (WMF): Is there any bug? Shouldn't it technically be our 2024 report? Additionally, am I right to say that we don't need to use WADP this time and instead supply the Affiliate Health Criteria form per Wikimedia Foundation Affiliates Strategy/Implementation/Affiliate health criteria/Table#Group B: Submit affiliate health criteria data using Meta-wiki form. It does also say that "Committee Support staff will populate the Wikimedia Affiliates Data Portal using the affiliate's report on Meta-wiki." So, we are supposed to use Wikimedia Foundation Affiliates Strategy/Implementation/Affiliate health criteria/Reports - if I have understood the things right. signed, Aafi (DCW) (talk) 14:55, 3 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Aafi (DCW): hi, thanks for the ping. Yes, I can confirm that as an affiliate categorized under Group B in this list, Deoband Wikimedians is no longer required to submit any reporting information to the Wikimedia Affiliate Data Portal or to Meta. Please find instructions on how to submit your Affiliate Health Criteria data using the new Meta-wiki form here. You can disregard the automated notification from WADP. We are currently in the process of updating the settings for the portal so that it aligns with the updated reporting obligations of the affiliates. I apologize for any confusion caused by the notification you received. Best, RamzyM (WMF) (talk) 17:28, 3 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. @RamzyM (WMF): Given this, people are submitting 2024 reports (not 2025 reports) at this point, and but the report creation box forces 2025 (preload), I'd really appreciate if you fix this. People have to move the report pages after creation for no reason. signed, Aafi (DCW) (talk) 08:23, 13 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for letting me know about this. I've removed the {{{CURRENTYEAR}}} element that forced this. Apologies for the inconvenience. Best, RamzyM (WMF) (talk) 18:27, 13 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you @RamzyM (WMF): We should have the final health report ready and submitted by the 20th. Anyways, I was wondering if our reporting time could be changed. Currently it stands as, "16 January YYYY to 15 January YYYY", and for us ideally, it would be better if it could be changed to "1 January YYYY to 31 December YYYY". Just a thought, but I would also appreciate your input. signed, Aafi (DCW) (talk) 13:45, 18 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Aaafi for your confirmation. As for the reporting time change, could you please email cst wikimedia org with the details? We can respond from there. Best, RamzyM (WMF) (talk) 11:42, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. The email has been sent. signed, Aafi (DCW) (talk) 17:08, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
