High mutual coherency

edit

The graph used in the page

The concept of "mutual coherency" between two variables one of which is defined as proportional to the other is something which I find completely impossible to understand, very frustrating.

  1. Why do you call this "growing phase" when the growth is not higher and
  2. why do you say that a "high proportion of the registered users were interested in contributing" when the contribution ratio is more or less the same as always?
  3. The graph has a drop of the CR after the introduction of SUL, did you exclude or somewhat weight the automatical account creations?
  4. I've seen only now that "We consider the total number of edits which the user made until the time of extracting the data in Aug, 2012": this completely skews the data, older months are bound to have a higher CR than the recent ones because of the users who register as soon as they can to any website they use whatever their interest and of course because they had more time to make an edit. Actually, this is enough to explain the weirdness in the graph, which bothered me quite a lot and can now just be considered to have no meaning at all. (Also, I've moved the footnote in the text because it's crucial to understand the document.)
