As soon as the French chapter is started, I would like to start contacting the UNESCO, the European commission, the Organisation de la francophonie (French speaking countries), the French ministry for Culture, and others. Regarding the UNESCO, two kinds of applications can be done: at the international level and at the language level. I am not sure what is the best strategy. Yann 10:14, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Isn't The Open Society Institute a potential source of funding, or does George Soros count as a controversial donor? They are certainly interested in funding this kind of project, see for example The Budapest Open Access Initiative (for open access journals), which they are heavily funding. cfp 16:17, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)

we're coming upon the deadline for two more grants in September, and another in early November. Are we going to seriously persue these grants? Gentgeen 20:50, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)
