- Wiki format: secure:
- Interwiki link: https://secure.wikimedia.org/$1
- Statistics: (none)
- Cross-wiki Link search: http://toolserver.org/~eagle/linksearch?search=secure.wikimedia.org&totalwikis=20
- Reasons: For access to secure wikimedia pages (user login, for example) --88.66.187.251 18:50, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Which wiki(s) would you like to link to? With this interwiki link, linking to the login page of the English Wikipedia would be written as
[[secure:wikipedia/en/wiki/Special:UserLogin]]
. Korg 03:03, 30 May 2008 (UTC)- It doesn't matter. --88.64.208.61 16:13, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Neutral - I like the idea, but it's really awkward to use. Soxred93 02:26, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- The proposed format is (as noted by Korg) a bit bulky... any alternatives? giggy (:O) 04:04, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe a two-step prefix like the wikia:*: ones? So his example might be secure:en:Special:UserLogin. Mind you, that's Wikipedia-specific... I guess you could add a third step for project, but that's getting a bit long again and I don't know how often this would even be used. --Tiny plastic Grey Knight 16:49, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support. As someone who uses secure.wikimedia.org very often, I would find this quite useful. Perhaps a good system would be for
secure:*:
to link to the secure equivalent of*:
; for example,secure:es:
would link to the secure Spanish language version of the same project, andsecure:wikt:
would link to the secure Wiktionary of the same language. Pyrospirit (talk · contribs) 04:15, 15 November 2008 (UTC) - Support, and in particular, Pyrospirit's suggestion - this seems sensible. James F. (talk) 22:04, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Does this require a code change? or a lot of prefix additions? or? (I like the idea but am unsure of the implementation) ++Lar: t/c 15:37, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- Support, this would be very useful for linking to the secure server (which I use often). It would be best in my opinion if it was implemented in the way described by Pyrospirit as that is the simplest way that covers all projects. Anonymous101 18:28, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- Support. It will be useful. Ruslik 14:16, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose (veto) First, the SSL interface isn't a distinct site; links between wikis should remain transparent -- once fixed up properly, 'es:' or 'meta:' will link to the HTTP or HTTPS site depending on what you're on already. Second, link format would be horribly ugly and could break in future. --brion 00:14, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

SLWiki

The SLWiki link looks odd and doesn't seem to work:
http://wiki.secondlife.com/$
Some investigation suggests it should be:
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/$1

- Done Verified and corrected. Better late than never? Kylu 19:18, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
ChoralWiki

Apparently, ChoralWiki has moved to http://www.choralwiki.org, whether temporarily or for good I cannot quite make out. Someone has asked me to ask someone to fix the URL here... T.a.k. 21:51, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- In fact the current value is incorrect; after moving to choralwiki.org we had to move it again to choralwiki.net a week later (I'm an admin there). But now all technical and administrative issues were finally solved and ChoralWiki is going back to its original URL in the next few days; so please someone edit this list and return its value to
http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/$1
ASAP. Also please move the ChoralWiki entry to its proper sorting position. I intend to use it again on en:template:ChoralWiki. Thanks! Capmo 16:25, 18 December 2008 (UTC) - Done Kylu 19:30, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
