Talk:Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Herero Wikipedia

Resurrection/hijacking of the Herero Wikipedia as a sort of personal hosting space

edit

This Wikipedia has now been resurrected and hijacked to support a constructed language called "Wikihero" and a number of Turkish related pages have been added; see Special:Allpages as of today. Also note this new infobox and text added today to the en:Herero language article (since reverted).

Current list of pages:

We shouldn't allow such a thing. The wiki should be locked by a developer, after removing those ridiculous things which isn't relevant to Herero language. --Aphaia 14:28, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Shouldn't wikis closed as a result of one of these proposals be locked once the decision to close is made and the move to Incubator is done? WODUP 20:57, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
The former content was moved to the Incubator. Hijacking seemed to happen after that. --Aphaia 11:23, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oppose closing hz Wikipedia
  1.   Oppose 1) If you close it, it will be difficult to re-open it again. 2) The brutal cencourship will delete (or move in this case) to a less-likeley viewed article page. 3) Linguists like me study through many online Encyclopædias like Wikipedia, and if this project is closed then our recourses on the study of this language is diminished. 4) It is morally wrong to close a project without the direct affirmation of the rightful owner of the project (Most likely the grouped that opened it in the first place.) Thank you :D 序名三 19:53, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
