Language request: No action since opened in March

edit
Tracked in Phabricator:
Task T277505

I opened the above in March, with the request:

Please add the label "Ojibwe" for the language code "oj", as previously done for another language in T263968.

Such requests are usually dealt with in a timely manner (within a day, in the example cited), but not this one, which currently remains "Open, Needs Triage" almost six months on, and has no assignee.

How should I proceed?

Before asking here, I tried joining https://web.libera.chat/?channel=#wikimedia-tech - but it's repeatedly timing out for me. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:05, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Assuming there is nothing controversial about the proposed change, best progress would be to provide a patch in Gerrit, similar to gerrit:630542 for phab:T263968. See mw:Gerrit/Tutorial if you (or anyone else) is interested. (See also mw:Bug management/Development prioritization for more general context.) I am - quite deliberately - writing on a (talk) page called "Requesting wiki configuration changes", not "Making wiki configuration changes". When I have previously asked where to request language changes such as this, I have been advised to raise a Phabricator ticket, as I did in this case. Furthermore, point 4 under "How to request a change" on the this page says (my emphasis): "Be patient; site configuration requests are only read by a few of the system administrators; on average, they take a few weeks to process; if the request ... has been sitting around for a long time, join #wikimedia-techconnect and ask about the request.". I'll do it this week (as soon as possible). 4nn1l2 (talk) 20:37, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Pigsonthewing: I quite deliberately covered another option, as you yourself had already covered options (such as asking on IRC) and have been and are free to follow them. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 06:35, 31 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Logo test

edit

Does https://logo-test.toolforge.org Logo test still works? I tried different logos, but they appear all the same.

Also, there's no option to view in vector-2022 theme/skin. Bennylin 15:05, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

re: working: I tried testing it, and it seems to work properly for me when I entered the values sw.wikipedia.org and File:Wikitech-2021-blue-large-icon.svg. What values did you try that didn't work?
re:feature-requests: you'd need to contact the tool-author(s), which according to Toolhub is @Legoktm Ah, I see there's a Phabricator tag for the tool, and phab:T272952 is the relevant task. Quiddity (talk) 17:56, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
This one doesn't work: https://logo-test.toolforge.org/test?wiki=sw.wikipedia.org&logo=File:Wikitech-2021-blue-large-icon.svg&useskin=timeless (still showing Wikipedia's logo)
Okay, so mainly the broken tests I was referring to was the timeless one. Bennylin Bennylin 18:02, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Another feature request: set the wordmark file to test, for timeless and vector-2022. Bennylin 19:48, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
