Great Idea

This is a great idea, as a new wiki user I wasn't aware projects like this were available to me. I agree with lopezjaylo98 when she says the page sounds more like an advertisment, perhaps some re-writes would be benificial? Announcing policy discussions relevant to women

I don't know if it is "canvassing" to put things like this En.Wikipedia civility enforcement discussion - or any relevant discussions in other languages. Sharing how the FB/blog/twitter feeds can and cannot be used canvassing-wise and/or a section of this content page for such announcements might be helpful. Thanks. A couple things

First, there is a link to a Facebook page, but there is no Facebook page for this. It's a dead link. Second, how about we also make a project page on Wikipedia? And third, this is a great idea, so don't give up! :D And fourth, the page kinda seems like an ad then a project. I think we need to rewrite it. I am planning to be a participant as soon as this moves into Wikipedia, as i'm an active Wikipedia user than anything else. But, best of luck to you all! Community

As a new women to join wikipedia I think this a brilliant idea in bringing the community of wikipedia even closer together and a way to celebrate and engage with others work. I think this will serve as a great support system and would like anyone who is involved with this to provide me with some feedback on my contributions to wikipedia so far here is my work so far http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_A._Schrum. Also I attempted to like this page on Facebook but could not get the link to work.

I look forward to meeting and engaging with more people.

That's a good place to also share your calls to action - since women who aren't yet editing and might be inspired to do so are on the Facebook page. Well, your entry is certainly the first notification for activity I've received for about that long. Sadly, it appears that those who initiated it didn't manage to get the ball rolling (or abandoned the project themselves?). Adrianne Wadewitz tribute editathons

I've just come across this project, in looking for places to publicise the London memorial to User:Wadewitz. Is this page still going, or is it moribund? Where else might I tell people about our editathon (in the Mary Wollstonecraft Room) on Saturday 31 May? There are many tributes to her around the world. Are there multiple edit-a-thons running for African women activists?

Hello all, I volunteer at Articles for Creation on en.wikipedia and we've had a substantial influx of articles about African women activists. Initially I was seeing a lot of Zambia, but more recently more Zimbabwe and Uganda. I take it y'all have been running some editathons? Folks were asking at Teahouse as well; do y'all have any centralized list of what EATs you're running so people in reviewing positions can know what's up? Personally, since AFC is so backlogged I've been prioritizing reviewing these since they're apparently Wikimedia-supported and also seems a good way to address Systemic Bias.

So it's not any problem, if anything they have a much higher success rate than AFC overall. Maybe 70% look to be Notable-ish, 50% are immediately clearly Notable but need work, and 30% can be approved with just a 10-second glance. And I'd rather cover those than the endless AFC submissions for people's crummy garage bands, YouTube personalities, and (shudder) Bitcoin startups. Just checking in, thanks!
