Counting the additional content
editHi @Kurd2021, can you please check your points, as the rules is: + 1 point for every 1000 bytes of content added in addition to the basic 3000 bytes (the first 3000b are worth 1 point) in the case of a new entry [...]. In order to have more clarity, I added this statement (the first 3000b are worth 1 point) in the comment. In your first case, for example, 1 point for the first 3kb + 19 points (till 22kb) for the 19*1kb additional content = 20p. In the second case is 19p (18p for the 20kb of content + woman). Final results
editHello everyone. As you can see, I gave a look to the points, in some cases recalculating the totals (some small points more or less what the users signed as total points). Due to the rules, the articles with less that 3 kb are not taken into account. Results for the serbian editors
editHi all! I just wanted to ask about the results because I do not see Serbian editors here. We have over 350 new articles in this campaign. Some editors have over 50 articles, I do not think they can handle to calculate points now. There isn't some other way to manage this? Thanks. - Hi @Milena Milenkovic (VMRS), as written, the rule was that articles need to be mandatorly collected here by participants (or by local organizers) and calculated by their own, as the other did and as it is usual in this kind of contests. You can understand that is hard to go around the projects in unknown languages to see who did what. Four winners did not respond to my emails for the prizes (to be precise, most of them have not activated the email function), if they continue in not claiming them, can be distributed to your users. - @Milena Milenkovic (VMRS) Unfortunately the unique tool to calculate points for contests is Fountain (used by the Iranian Wikimedians for their local contest), but it is difficult (if not impossible) to set it at the end of the contest. And it is also complicated to set it seen that needs additional setting for the additional points (women and/or para athletes). Essentially you need to take into account only the written articles with more that 3kb (which is 1 point + 1 point for any additional kb, so at the end, for the valid articles, it's the total number of kb - 2) + 1 point if the article is about a women + 1 point if the article is about a para athlete. Let me give you some examples: 1) the article has 10kb, is about a woman (or a women competition) and a para athlete (or a paraathletic competition), the total number of points for that article is 8 + 1 + 1 = 10; 2) the article has 4kb, is only about a woman, the total number of points for that article is 2 + 1 = 3; 3) the article has 2kb, whatever is about a woman or a para athlete, the article it is not valid, as it has less than 3kb. If you need help, I can do it after work, at 6PM. But is mandatory to have here the written articles for any user who want to participate into the contest. Camelia (talk) 08:26, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
