Scholarship
edit- Good work. Congratulation. Is there a scholarship to attend the conference directly?--Neyakkoo (talk) 23:05, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- Dear Neyakkoo, at the moment there is no guarantee for the scholarships; we are waiting the Wikimedia Italia budget 2025 to see if they decide to include an amount for them. In any case the budget will be limited. Eventually it is possible to participate with a poster and we plan to have sessions streamed and recorded. Best regards, iopensa (talk) 07:25, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

Publication of the conference proceedings
editA selection of the conference proceedings with datasets will be published in an open access edited ebook by Firenze University Press (FUP) ; the publication has an ISBN and you can find further information on https://www.fupress.com/. iopensa (talk) 08:15, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- The final publication is for me a relevant motivation for submission. Is it possible to understand the percentage of papers will be selected for publication. In case of no publication, will it be eventually possible to re-submit the paper for other conferences as original work? Glottocrisio (talk) 13:52, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Glottocrisio, at present we are not able to define the number of papers that will be published. In this first phase of selection (until decembre 9th) it is possible to submit just the abstract or a preprint version of the work (see: Important dates). If you want to submit to another conference you have to indicate if the material has already been presented. Elena moz (talk) 12:23, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
Unpublished works or works under review
editIt is possible to submit proposals related to published works and works under review. Please note:
- You are asked to indicate in your abstract if the work has already been published or if it is under review
- We ask you to release your proposal and all the documentation submitted under CC BY 4.0 (recommended) or CC BY-SA 4.0. Please make sure you have the rights to release your content openly (refer to the terms and conditions of your publisher).
PDF in the submission form
editQuestion received: I noticed on the submission form that there was a place to attach a PDF. Should we attach an abstract and a PDF of our abstract, or should we just copy and paste our abstract in the abstract box? iopensa (talk) 10:57, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- At this stage, the pdf is optional, since the final paper will be request later (in april), just for the accepted submissions.
- You can attach the preprint version of the final work, if you have it (thanks Elena for the answer). iopensa (talk) 10:58, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
What would be the expected page count of the eventual paper?
editWe have not yet set a maximum number of pages for the papers selected for publication (thanks Elena for the answer). iopensa (talk) 10:59, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
