Administrative or operational costs for distributing funds

We have banking setup with mediaartscenter.org for wikiblind.org and they’ve been wonderful for processing incoming checks from wikimedia and other donors to our projects. They charge between 8-10% of the check in administrative overheads which is average or lower than typical overheads.

Given that this term is specially listed in the “what can be covered by these funds, I strongly recommend we include that as part of our planned expenses, unless you want to receive the funds directly yourself again (more frowned upon by WMF because of past problems, and obligation for grant recipient (like yourself) to handle distributions on their own). Adding that line now - but up for discussion.

Question to Wikimania Scholarships Reviewers

If we have not asked correctly for the budget items that are covered, could you give us feedback and let us re-apply?
