Template talk:New sister project proposal
Why does this template link to a draft policy?
editThe template links New project process, which isn't an official policy, but rather a draft of a new policy for new sister projects. While I prefer the draft policy, it isn't implemented yet, and I got kind of confused since the current guidelines are a lot more strict. InsaneHacker (talk) 00:27, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- This is because the template was created specifically for the proposed policy. Ruslik (talk) 20:52, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Ruslik0: I'm aware of that, but it's also in use on current project proposals, which can be confusing for people unaware of the policy. InsaneHacker (talk) 22:41, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe it can link to Proposals for new projects instead? --Bart Michels (talk) 22:02, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

I edited the sandbox, added another parameter, and changed links. I plan to overwrite the current version with the sandbox one. Would that do? --George Ho (talk) 11:44, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
Added submitted option
editSince the current de facto process is that proposals should be discussed then submitted to the WMF board of trustees, I've added a 'submitted' option fo the |status=
. If this is inappropriate, please revert. T.Shafee(Evo﹠Evo)talk 05:51, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
