Keeping events safe
Welcome! This training is intended to help event organizers prepare to handle incidents of harassment or abuse at events. This module should take around ten minutes to complete.
In this module, you'll learn the basics of event safety, such as the situations you might encounter, what to do before the event to prepare, what to do during the event when incidents come up, how to follow up after the event and, finally, additional things to consider.
This module also contains some scenarios to ponder. You can share your thoughts on them to the Meta-Wiki pages linked to each situation.

This section covers other forms of harassment, what they involve and how they can be immediately dealt with. This information may be useful if you are fielding reports, and you can refer back to it for future issues.
In this section, you'll learn how to handle personal information and "doxxing", how to handle image-based harassment and tips on dealing with off-wiki harassment and abuse.
3: Communication best practices
Welcome! This is the third of five modules about dealing with online harassment. This module should take around 25 minutes to complete.
This section covers communication with those who are experiencing harassment on the projects and how best to provide them support.
In this section, you'll get advice on how to communicate with those who have experienced harassment and some examples of support and advice you can and cannot offer.

This section covers how to handle reports of harassment, actionable or otherwise.
In this section, you'll get advice on how to reply to initial reporters, information on what kind of reports can be dealt with locally and which should be escalated, tips and best practices when investigating reports and how to write good documentation for collaborating on harassment reports.
5: Closing cases
Welcome! This is the last of five modules about dealing with online harassment. This module should take around 25 minutes to complete.
This section covers how to close cases of harassment and how to report out on the results of your investigations.
In this section, you'll get advice on how to close both actionable and non-actionable reports, best practices on writing reports at the end of cases and tips on self-care and debriefing after cases.
