Abstract: This workshop is a follow-up of the lecture Wikidata Lexemes: What, Why and How?, which introduces the concept and potential of Wikidata lexemes. In this workshop, you will get a chance to experince ways to create and edit lexemes in a practical way in your own language! Depending on audience demand, also other tools and queries mentioned during the lecture can be showcased and explored during the workshop. The workshop is suitable for beginners who have some basic knowledge of Wikidata lexemes (the lecture is sufficient!).			Slides:

How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Turkic world? This session will enable the participants to contribute to Wikidata lexemes by creating and editing lexemes in their own languages, which are part of the linguistic diversity of the Turkic world. The participants will also be able to use Wikidata lexemes to support linguistic research and education in their own languages. Eventually, once a certain level of lexeme coverage on Wikidata has been reached, it will as well be possible explore and analyse the various Turkic languages and their relations using various tools and queries. By attending this session, the participants will gain practical skills and experience in working with Wikidata lexemes and their benefits for the Turkic languages.
