The second meeting of the Tyap Wikimedians Community was held in the Tyap Wikimedians User Group handle on Telegram in the form of a video call on Saturday, 10 August 2024. Learning from the experience in the previous encounter, the choice of Telegram over Google Meet was arrived at to curb the network related issues.

Takeaway points from the meeting include:

  • Atyoli Levi Kambai: We are working on collaborating with Afaiatyap to shed more light on our movement through drama.
    • Some of our our people see this project as something that belongs to some group of people and not to them as well.
  • Atyoli Friday Kuyet: A skit was produced in Jos with Afaiatyap last month which I was featured in and by the end of this month we should get a feedback.
  • On getting more stakeholders from among the Atyap elites to join in contributing to the group's efforts, Atyoli Genesis Mashan cited the instance of the saying that, "If the mountain does not go to Mohammed, Mohammed should go to the mountain."
  • A̱yang-a̱li Katyak Habila: The beginnings of things are usually like this. But corrections can be made to overcome shortcomings next time.
  • A̱tyoli Theophilus Baba: We could find other avenues for promoting the group on social media like Facebook. We could tag people and share to groups.
  • Atyoli Mashan Genesis: Even if we would neglect the sharing on Facebook, we should work on tagging those who follow us.
    • Let's remember the words of Dr. Philip Hayab that his name has been written as far as the Hyam language is concerned. Let's work for posterity.
  • A̱tyoli Z.: Let's work on the encouragement of people to follow our pages on social media as A̱tyoli Theophilus Baba added. Let's do well to share whatever we see on our group's pages.
