My General Stewards Expectations

Being a Steward, they are the last point of volunteer structure in WMF and usually first point of contact of the community with the WMF. This role is crucial. They must be of good standing in their local projects and understand various aspects of stewardy well. These can be on the various SR (CU/UC/G/GR/P/B/M) as well as IRC or other aspects such as Phabricator tasks / backend work with system developers and also spambots. Basically for existing stewards confirmation, I will look for people with high involvement and competency in such areas. For new candidates, knowledge about these areas will be a plus. As well as having the clue to know when to ask for help when needed as well as not be a jerk. As long as there isn't any red flags, they will get my support.
