editIt's been a while since I've journalled here. Most of my work in the meantime has been on-wiki so I haven't felt the need to capture my thoughts. For examples of my recent work, see en:User:EpochFail/Quality_assessment and the following images.
-
Feedback listed by article and user who left the feedback. The icons on the right side represent the state of the feedback item.
-
A feedback item ready to be assessed. In place of actual feedback, a lorem ipsum paragraph has been generated.
-
A pane is expanded for the feedback item and the article content at the time the feedback was left is displayed.
-
The full interface with several feedback items is shown with annotations.
I'm mainly journalling right now because I (1) already blocked off some time to talk with Dario & Oliver but the meeting got moved and (2) I want to keep track of some of the projects that I've been talking to DarTar about recently.
Current projects
- AFTv5 gadget evaluation
- Proposal here. I've designed an example feedback interface which has become a design that we are running with. The largest obstacle to moving forward here is coming to a consensus on what exactly we are evaluating.
- Live Help
- See progress here. The majority of my contribution here is to the help/socialization design, but I'm starting to work on implementing Ian's ejabbard based prototype to explore how to extend it.
- Correlating AFTv4 with damage
- The idea is to check if there is any signal when correlating negative AFT rating with vandalism
- Moodbar/Feedback dashboard
- The idea is to explore the tool and its use.
- I want to understand the kind of feedback people post (a little bit of hand coding) and the types of responses that are given.
- There also might be some room for some design work here. I'd like to borrow some ideas from the design of the Live help system. I might even be able to put together a user script that would support Feedback Dashboard users.
