Autopatrolled

edit

Hi Another Believer, just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatroll right to your account, as you are a trustworthy user. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Meta:Autopatrollers. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Ruy Pugliesi 00:47, 3 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Jason. I am as awfully busy this week as I am sorry to read Ocaasi above indicating you won't join us in Berlin. However, late next week might look better and it is bookmarked :). Best regards, --Jan eissfeldt (talk) 00:58, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Jan. Not going to Berlin is a bummer, but I very much look forward to learning what comes out of the conference. --Another Believer (talk) 15:19, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikinews LGBT handout

Hi. Thank you for the invitation. A few participants are active in writing LGBT content on Wikinews projects. We have an LGBT oriented handout, which I am intending to print and bring along to Wikimedia CEE Meeting 2013. If you have any similar materials, please ping me and I can print a few copies to take along.--LauraHale (talk) 16:14, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the note and for bringing this to my attention. Have fun at the meeting! --Another Believer (talk) 16:54, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I am attending the WM CEE meeting as the provisional chairperson of The Wikinewsie Group. I have also been asked to attend on behalf of WM LGBT by the organizers and two others in the group, and so apparently am also going in that capacity. If there are any other handouts, I would be happy to distribute them so please let me know. I can under the diversity conference thing. I thought I might attend, but my passion in the movement is both women's issues and disability issues. My proposal was on the second, not the first as I thought the first had been covered extensively. Turns out I should have gone with the gender issues, which I do have a lot of experience with. Oh well. That issue still needs a lot of work. :) (WM LGBT really should try to integrate into the education program, and target university instructors in LGBT and gender studies to get involved across WMF projects.) --LauraHale (talk) 07:22, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for sharing. I could not agree more re: LGBT collaboration with the Education Program. I hope that eventually we will have GLAM collaborations as well. LGBT is such a universal issue, as evidenced by the expanding Interwiki page. I do not have specific handouts to offer right now. We are just trying to recruit participation, and hopefully some great ideas will emerge from the upcoming Diversity Conference. I know your interests are primarily in gender and disability, but please feel free to contribute to LGBT when you have the time and interest. Safe travels! --Another Believer (talk) 15:41, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Category sorting

edit

Hello, last time I checked Template:Langcat docs were clear enough: have you tried just following them closely? Avoid magic words and sortkeys. --Nemo 17:40, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing wrong about redlinks to categories. They still work as categories and they can be created any time if someone bothers/if we find the right way with the Translate extension. --Nemo 18:12, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Alright, well I still do not really understand what to do, so I will just leave it alone for now. Thanks. --Another Believer (talk) 18:34, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Why not, you already did it correctly. --Nemo 18:41, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
  Resolved.

Hello!

edit

Thanks for the note on Talk:Wikimedia UK! However, that page isn't much read, I don't believe - the best way to get in touch with people is on our own wiki, perhaps on the water cooler. It would be great to hear from you there. Regards, Chris Keating (The Land) (talk) 21:31, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikimedia LGBT translating

edit

Hi, I've started today to translate the main page (it's 73% done), but I don't see if you have another pages in Wikimedia LGBT group. Send me any other page, if you have, to translate in the next days. Regards! Superzerocool (talk) 17:43, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hallo, it's true that I'm a translator from English, but I can do it in few moments that I can find rarely in my very busy days, so I go to translate few important pieces, in my regional language Emilian, because almost no one other do it; but I decided in a recent past, not to translate in other languages, like for exemple Italian or French, because over there the translator are already translating and don't need my intervention. Let me know if I can translate something in my Emilian, or if there is something other I can help you in my little time. :-) --Gloria sah (talk) 21:21, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
