FYI

test edit for 1.17 implementation
- Just an FYI from my thoughts - I am mostly opposed to the idea because 1. there was no real discussion to get community input before they were asking for the right (way out of process), 2. there would be no real oversight of people with importing while there is lots of it now (they are temporary, so that means people are reviewing them before and when the temporary time is up), and 3. many of the users who have been involved in it in the past are blocked/banned or are making some really strong statements against the WMF, which could mean that this could be used to disrupt. - Separating the policy from the people. Conceptually we need to have a process to quickly and easily setup a new wiki, and it is the agreed process that incubator is the starting place. The ability to have a temporary assignation of a right that enables a selected group of people to be in and out at the early phase of the setup of a wiki. I would agree that there should be some rigour that needs to be behind those in the group, and their selection. Probably in principle to allow the stewards the ability to assign the right from a recommendation of the wiki space.
I have absolutely no problem with your opinion or that you have one. At times it can feel haranguing and doesn't seem to progress to a practicable solution; and sometimes it is rather continuous which makes other contributions difficult, or there is so much volume that unless one is passionate about the subject matter, it becomes difficult to wade through it. Those points I know are my problem, not yours, however, if it comes many people's problem it may be something to which you wish to give some consideration. billinghurst sDrewth 21:13, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Billinghurst, congratulations! You now have the rights of administrator on Meta. Please take a moment to read the Meta:Administrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat, and Meta:Requests for deletion, but also Talk:Spam blacklist and Talk:Interwiki map), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings, or modifications of protected pages. The majority of the actions of administrators can be reversed by the other admins, except for history merges which must thus be treated with particular care.
A tip: add this page Meta:Administrators' discussion index to your watchlist, it tracks the latest activity to various sections of many of the important pages.
Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikimedia-admin @ irc.freenode.net. You may find Commons:Guide to adminship to be useful reading although it doesn't always completely apply here at Meta.
Please also check or add your entry to Meta:Administrators#List_of_administrators and the Template:List of administrators.

COIBot reports
WOW, you were busy taking care of all those COIBot XWiki reports! Only one/two report(s) are left atm. :/ Thanks for your help! Trijnstel 09:56, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yep, thanks for noticing and taking the time to comment. I got them down to zero about three or four days ago, and just working on keeping them close to zero each day. I am not so quick on the Linked Reports, though try to hit a handful of those too. Next task is to be a little proactive and to learn the code to start building watch cases. billinghurst sDrewth 10:13, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Same as Trijnstel. You're a star! Thank you so much for reducing that backlog! Regards. —Marco Aurelio (Nihil Prius Fide) 11:58, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Re: Autopatrolled status?
Hi. I have assigned you to editor group on pl-wikipedia and pl-wikisource, as we do not use "autopatrolled" group. You have now ability to review other users' edits, however as you do not know Polish please don't do that. Cheers, Beau (talk) 13:47, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. Restrictions noted, most definitely not looking to create more work for myself or for others. billinghurst sDrewth 13:50, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

- Didn't see it, was driving home after a late night on the turps (very light one though). Mind you it was over 1000km away. And now for bed as the eyes droop. And the best to you in the cold ye olde home country. Going to be 35+C today. billinghurst sDrewth 15:31, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
