editWho made the request of deleting of my talkpage? Certainly, not me. Or is it deleted, b/c the only content was a link to my en.wikipedia talk page? Denizz 00:08, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- It was you. You wrote "please delete this". Do you want it restored? Majorly (talk) 00:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- don't remember doing that, maybe I did, maybe someone else did. Doesn't matter. ThxDenizz 20:46, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Revert move
editSince I am not sure you are the part of London bidding team, I revert your move about Wikimania 2008/London. If you are bidding the city as its organizer, please forgive me and go ahead. --Aphaia 15:30, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Lista de Wikipedias
editDear Majorly:
I just wanted to know why did you reverse my edition to the Lista de Wikipedias. The actual version is out of date.
Best regards, Jtico 17:08, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Large content removal from pages, with no edit summary looks like vandalism to me. Better to be safe than sorry. Majorly (talk) 18:08, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

editThanks to you too! Just checked your "gay" series of accounts but other than a couple of spam blacklistings (suggesting an Open proxy maybe) nothing exciting --Herby talk thyme 13:26, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- What accounts are these then? I wasn't aware :P The only attack name I've ever seen is simple:User:Majorly is a jew - and that's not even that bad... Majorly (talk) 14:27, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- No - by "yours" I meant you had blocked a series of accounts with "gay" in the name (your blocks, 7th Sept) --Herby talk thyme 14:34, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Rename!
editYes, of course! Thanks a lot. Are you a bureaucrat on Commons as well? I want to change my username there, too. Applew 07:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's incredibly fast! @pple 07:31, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Done for Meta :) I'm not a bureaucrat on Commons, but you can request here for a change. Regards, Majorly (talk) 07:32, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Adoption
editIs there a adopt a user program like over at en. --The Random Editor 00:01, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- No, but if you need some help you can always ask. Majorly (talk) 00:21, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Question on templates
editHello,
May I ask a question? Is there any way on getting the information of each wiki's {{NUMBEROFARTICLES}} from Meta? If it were possible, the List of Wikipedias could automatically update the information on the number of articles. Right now, there is a problem with the translation of this page, because info has to be manually copied on all translations (such a waste of energy)... Thank you very much! --Meldor 09:31, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm I'm not too sure; however you could ask on the MediaWiki mailing list, ask on the website, or on the IRC channel. Let me know how you get on :) Majorly (talk) 11:47, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Question on deadminship
editOn Meta:Administrators, under its policy on deadminship it said:
Inactivity Any sysop inactive on meta for a full year will be de-sysoped. "Inactive" means no edits in the past 6 months and less than 50 edits in the last year. They may re-apply through the regular way.
Does this mean that you have to make all those edits on Meta or on the project you were originally an admin on?
(If you could respond on my talk page, that would be helpful) Thanks, Skunkmaster II 04:26, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Adminship
editThanks Majorly. I have added myself to the list. I did have an e-mail set, but I had disabled e-mail from other users. I have re-enabled that option now and have also updated my user page here. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do. --HappyDog 12:43, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like you're fine. Happy editing! Majorly (talk) 15:04, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you
editThanks for the answer to my deadminship question. Do you have any suggestions for ways to contribute to this wiki (Meta)?
Thanks, Skunkmaster II 14:29, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Special:Random is always fun :) A lot of the policies/guidelines are out of date/inactive, so you could rewrite some of them. On the left side menu there's stuff about our community. You can look at Special:Recentchanges and tag bad pages for speedy delete, or do that if you come across any some other way. You can take part on Meta:Requests for deletion, and other discussion pages. If you speak other languages, there's tons of translation work to be done as well. Hi
editHi Majorly. Are you still remaining "fully" retired on en? Hope to see you back soon. People on en are missing you, just like I said they would... AnonymousDissident 10:43, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Well it's not confusing: I quit enwp, then I went to where I am also very active (here) and quit too. But after sleeping on it, I realised how different meta is to enwp, so I decided to "return" :) I'm very glad to be back - but I will be less active for a while, due to busyness IRL. Thanks for all your comments here, I really appreciate it. Majorly (talk) 19:33, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's only slightly confusing now :) Good to see you around somewhere. Giggy\Talk 23:09, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Interwiki map stuff
editRegarding tv.com requests... could you not do adds QUITE this fast please? I measure 30-40 min between the request and the add. No matter HOW good the candidate is, others tend to do things that fast in my experience. Some period of discussion is appropriate. (Citizendium was a no brainer to add and it took a week) I realise that things on that page have been going too slow (because I'm about the only person that was doing them and I got busy) but 40 min is too fast. I tend to say "I think this is good, if no one objects I'll add it next pass through here"... The push only happens once a quarter or once a month so there's no real rush or benefit from rushing. Please consider reverting and seeking discussion. Thanks. ++Lar: t/c 19:24, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- Good evening Lar,
- I’m not exactly sure what the problem you’re bringing up is exactly; to me it seems like a simple non-contentious request. Judging from past requests the interwiki link added would seem to have community support (IMDb, for example).
- I personally asked Majorly if he’d be willing to fast track my request as the update only runs once a month, and the 5th is fast approaching… so hopefully you see my logic (less wait before the links can be implemented).
- If you believe there’s a problem with interwiki linking to TV.com, then please bring it up on the talk page and we can discuss, but I don’t think it’s very necessary to revert for the sake of it (unless there’s an actual problem).
- Take care,
- Why is this posted in two places and why are you answering for Majorly? The discussion belongs in one place, I think. I answered you on my talk first before checking here, since you double posted. ++Lar: t/c 22:01, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

My resonse
edityou know I'm sorry if I listed in the wrong forum, but I am having a hard time ok? I have some offensive material pertaining to me and my private life that some idiot posted and I am trying to stay off his radar and have it deleted! I don't know what the heck to do!! I am sick of crying about this!! I don't think Wikipedia should condone abuse, if I don't clear this up this weekend, I am sending a registered letter to the Wikipedia Foundation!please! I am just trying to get help!Alphagirl20 14:04, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
A quick question...
editWhee, now that I'm a sysop, I've built a personal admin page, much like I've done on en.wp and Commons. Are there any similar-purposed templates to the ones on those pages? EVula // talk // ☯ // 16:01, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know about templates- when closing RfDs you should use {{closed|reason. ~~~~}}, so I suppose you should have Meta:Requests for deletion somewhere too. There's also Category:Deleteme, for speedy stuff. Also Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat. Regards, Majorly (talk) 16:14, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Groovy, that's an excellent first step. I'm trying to not spend the whole day just working on my userspace, since I do have other work to do. Thanks. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 16:19, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Hello
editHey Majorly, great to see you around here! Thanks for the welcome. Love, Neranei 21:25, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Another newbie Meta admin question
editPatrolled edits: do we use them here or not? I've figured out that admin edits are automatically marked as patrolled, but should I bother marking edits as I see them? I didn't find anything saying yay or nay about them, but I'm assuming that nobody really cares. Just wanting confirmation of that fact, I suppose. EVula // talk // ☯ // 19:09, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again :) I tend to not bother with them every time I see them. Sometimes if I notice an edit hasn't been patrolled, I might do it, but it's not really necessarily imo. Majorly (talk) 20:25, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, I figured it wasn't a particularly important thing. I was just confused by it a bit, since I'd never seen it at en.wp or Commons.
And I think that's the last of the pestering. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 20:28, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Protection no longer needed
editI want to explain why I started editing again in the first place on Wikipedia. I left a few apology posts regarding past actions(before I left hundreds of talk page edits.) I think that it's no longer nessesary that my talk and user page is protected(here on Meta) Would you please unprotect it?--U.S.A.U.S.A.U.S.A. 12:29, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Spam list
editThanks for doing that one, can you log it when you have a minute (yeah I need to do one too) but otherwise keeping them in their in a years time when all have forgotten it will be hard! I'm banging on about the same thing on en wp (which is much worse) cheers --Herby talk thyme 16:24, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
