Before deleting, did you ensure there are no incoming links either on this or on other sites? --Nemo 16:48, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- I actually moved it and did not completely delete it - so a redirect can be placed if there is an issue. However, I did not notice any active uses that seemed to be an issue. I just double checked and did fix one link from a now mostly unused page that I overlooked before. Most prior references were actually wrong, in part why this rename was done. --Varnent (talk)(COI) 16:51, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- Ok, if you say so. --Nemo 17:02, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell anyway - but always happy to have anyone else double check. :) --Varnent (talk)(COI) 17:03, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

LangCat vs #translation:
Hi! {{Langcat}} is obsolete and will be gradually replaced to {{#translation:}}
. Please use {{#translation:}}
magic word for new uses. --Kaganer (talk) 02:28, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing that out. I noticed that recently, but obviously had already extensively used it by then. I have since stopped using the old template. I also updated the documentation for langcat to note the correct procedure, and updated the edittools for Meta-Wiki to use the new method. I hope that helps. Thank you again for letting me know. I appreciate the notes on how to edit better. :) --Varnent (talk)(COI) 02:49, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Updating scripts
Hello Varnent. I edited your global.js and common.js to update deprecated functions.
I noticed you have a copy of the regex menu framework in User:Varnent/Scriptsmod/Regex menu framework.js with a few customisations. The regex menu framework is obsolete and unmaintained, so I'm helping users migrate to the much newer TemplateScript (which includes all its features). Do you still need that page? —Pathoschild 03:11, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
- Excellent - thank you! --Varnent (talk)(COI) 18:40, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

- More work done on Unit Selector widget

Flood
Hi. Your edits are still being displayed on Recent Changes, despite having the flood flag set. Maybe something in AWB that makes override the flag? —MarcoAurelio 14:33, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
- Very strange - thank you for the heads up. I stopped, closed the application, and started things up again - seems to be working. My best guess is that I set the flood tag after I had logged in via AWB (oops) - so perhaps it needed to be logged out and back in? Not sure, that isn't necessary for web based edits...hmm... In any case, seems to be working again, thank you again for the heads up. :) --Varnent (talk)(COI) 14:36, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for marking L&E Toolkits for translation!
Hi Varnent,
Thanks for helping out marking the page for translation.
I am wondering about marking categories for translation. I saw you marked all the categories on that page with . It works ok for some categories, but not for others. I hadn't seen this markup before, so I thought I'd ask you: is there anything we can do to make the categorization work?
Thanks for your help and support! María (WMF) (talk) 18:04, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
