edit- Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 in India -- Amitabha Gupta was introduced into the organizer's team. He took the responsibility of selecting jury. This year it was decided to search for all Indian jury team. He will take care of the promotion of WLM India advertisement video through Youtube, Facebook or other relevant channels. A photo-walk is also planned in a nearby district of Kolkata in September.
- Wiki Loves Food 2022 in India - Amitabha Gupta will take care of the promotion of WLF India advertisement video through Youtube, Facebook or other relevant channels. Rangan Datta Wiki will introduce the competition to different food based groups and channels. Resource books are getting collected to build database about different Indian cuisines so that Wikidata based upload campains can introduced.
- Wikisource meetup - It has been decided to organize regular offline Bengali Wikisource meetups for skill building purposes of existing editors. The frequency of the meetings will be 3-4/year starting from July or August 2022.
- Mini TTT - Tarunsamanta pitched the plan to organize 2-days long Mini TTT in the city of Durgapur during the month of August. He was requested to take the lead and look for logistical arrangements. A rapid funds is planned to propose for this purpose.
- Kolkata Book Fair - Pinakpani and Rangan Datta Wiki will initiate conversing with Books and Publishers Guild to negotiate for a free space in the next Kolkata Book Fair pavillion and finalise before November so that, necessary funds can be requested in the next round of Community Funds to execute the plan.
- GLAM - GLAM initiative in Arunachal Pradesh was informed to all the participants. A few other upcoming GLAM leads in Meghalaya were also informed. Dr. Bir and Jayantanth will pursue a possible GLAM partnership with Behar Herald in Patna and chalk out plan to execute the project.
- Funding situation- Funding situation of the latest approved grant, the bureaucratic issue faced with CIS-A2K and the latest developments were updated.
- WikidataCon 2023 - The request coming from WMDE for the possibilities to organize WikidataCon 2023 in India was informed. There were unanimous decision that the user group should express interest to organize the event even with the limited capacity it have. Few possible potential institutional and academic partners were discussed.
- Sustainability - It was discussed in detail about the shortcomings of the user group model with regards to sustainability. The participants were updated about the current situation of funding process and the real life potential legal challenges faced by volunteers while receiving grants. It was discussed whether legal registration as an organization can help volunteers relieve pressure from administrative tasks related to fund handling and focus only on program planning and execution. There were several questions and concerns coming from the participants concerning the registration process and whether volunteers can afford to spend their time to undergo the consultation with a lawyer or registration of the process or daily operation of finance after registration. It was decided to request WMF to help setup the organization by supporting in this area. There were several questions raised regarding the legal and financial implications and paperwork needed for domestic and foreign funding coming to the planned registered organization. The questions were documented so that they get answered eventually by professional lawyers. The participants agreed that an umbrella organization serving open knowledge at larger beyond Wikimedia can be of practical use and have broader impact. The user group is planned to keep as a subsidiary group in the planned organization solely to serve Wikimedia movement along with possibility of space for other subsidiary groups serving other areas of open knowledge. Goals of this planned organization were started to be drafted to include as many potential scope of the organization as possible. Few possible names of the organization came into consideration during the meeting.
