Meeting Objectives: • Introduce participants to the goals and activities of WikiIndaba • Help introduce new and old volunteers to the Wiki Indaba Conference and guide them through the different aspects of the meeting • Encourage participants to apply for scholarships for upcoming Wikimedia events such as Wiki Indaba and Wikimania • Help attendees feel a part of the Africa wise event and plan on continued participation.

Unfortunately, we have to inform you that your application for the micro-grant has not been successful. The fact that we received an impressive number of quality applications and the constraint of funding only five applications, as we had indicated in the call for applications, made the decision-making process extremely difficult. Given these constraints, the team decided to award grants only to under-represented communities or groups.
Although your application was not selected, we greatly appreciate your interest in WikiIndaba 2024. In addition, we encourage you to subscribe to our YouTube channel, where we will be sharing conference highlights and key sessions.
