Wiki Cemeteries User Group/Report 2023

This is the Wiki Cemeteries User Group report of the year 2023

Activities

The Wiki Cemeteries User Group sought to connect ourselves more closely with WikiProject Cemeteries by trying to organize an editathon in October, similar to what was done the previous year Wikidata Takes Cemeteries with a focus on improving the ratings of related articles. This unfortinately did not happen due to various factors related to internal planning challenges.

The group is planning to do this in 2024.

Communication

A Telegram channel is used for the group to facilitate communication between members, accessible via this link.

Members

Wiki Cemeteries User Group, has 34 members (̟+2 new members from last year and ) and numerous individuals have been active on various Wikimedia projects related to cemeteries.

The User Group is focusing on internal capacity development to be able to better organize and conduct annual events.
