WLF India 2025 Photowalk

The WLF India 2025 Photowalk is an initiative by Wiki Club SATI as part of the Wiki Loves Folklore and Feminism campaign. This event aims to document the rich cultural heritage of Chanderi, with a focus on folklore and feminist narratives, through photography and Wikimedia contributions.

The photowalk is organized by Wiki Club SATI and the Commons Photographers User Group.

Chanderi: City and Handloom Heritage

Chanderi is renowned for its historical forts, ancient temples, and handwoven **Chanderi sarees**. The photowalk will capture the essence of **Chanderi’s culture, architecture, and craftsmanship**, with special attention to folklore and women's contributions to the art of weaving.

Participation

Participants will document **folk traditions, cultural landmarks, and women’s contributions to folklore**. The best images will be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons under the Wiki Loves Folklore 2025 category to enrich free knowledge resources.
