  • Regional experiences:

My experience as organizer of SheSaid in 2023 and 2024 has been an enriching and formative journey. In 2023, I launched the project with the aim of raising awareness among women of the importance of contributing to Wikimedia platforms, particularly Wikiquote. I organized hands-on training to teach them how to share quotes from inspiring women and enrich online content.

In 2024, I strengthened SheSaid's impact by extending the project's reach to a wider audience, particularly in cities like Goma and Butembo. I mobilized local communities through awareness campaigns and calls for participation on social networks, featuring prominent female figures from the DRC. The training courses were tailored to the specific needs of the participants, with a focus on editing and contributing in French.

This experience enabled me to develop key skills in project management, training and communication, while reinforcing my passion for the inclusion and representation of women in the digital world.

Personal Statement:

My involvement in the Wikimedia movement grew out of my passion for digital inclusion and gender equality. Through projects like SheSaid, I've coordinated initiatives to reduce the gender gap by encouraging women to contribute on platforms like Wikiquote.

I'm motivated by the desire to empower young women and under-represented communities to participate and share their voices.
