1. Introduction of Wiki Women for Women Wellbeing Project.
2. Introduction of new Wikipedians.
3. Learning how to edit a wiki article.
4. Translating articles from the list of WWWW articles.

Program in-detail and feedback

A very successful workshop was executed with a total number of 18 participants, only one absent. Prior to the event, all participants were trained to open their Wikipedia accounts and most of them had opened their accounts. Out of 18 participants, 15 were women and 3 were male. All the participants were undergoing students of M.Phil and M.A. of Calcutta University.

The event kicked off with a introductory speech by Mentor, Rajeeb Dutta, followed by an activity by Mentor, Tito Dutta. The event took more pace as Mentor Sumita Dutta Roy, took up the training of how to translate articles from the list of articles of WWWW 2018. She was assisted by Rajeeb Dutta, Pinaki Biswas and Priyanka Sinha. The articles were translated into two Indic languages, viz. Bengali and Hindi. A brief introduction about ‘Wikimedia’ was given to the participants. As the time limit was only 2 hours, we couldn’t able to translate more and the participant signup on the meta page couldn’t been done. We have requested the participants to register at an earliest date.

A request had been made to all participants to continue their work on translation and contribute for WWWW2018, still, it’s an request to have one more session with all the participants to assist these new budding editors to overcome their obstacles and assist them to contribute more.
