Goals

edit

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? Yes we met the goal. Our goal was to have members of our community attend the Wikimania event for the first time. We achieved this goal because they had no limitation to attend the event, it was an exciting moment for us. We learnt a lot of new things in the Wiki Ecosystem. About tools, communities doing great stuffs, it was amazing.

Learning

edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

Participating in Wikimania for the first time meant a lot to us. We had the feeling of belonging to a larger family. We had fun interacting with others. The Remo platform made it look so real. The feeling was amazing for us.

  • What did not work so well?

Sometimes the network disconnected that we couldn't join later in the afternoon on Day 1. Also for some of the participants, it was hard to navigate the Remo platform.

  • What would you do differently next time?

Next time, if it would be a virtual event, we can plan a meet up same period to join together in the same place. The joy that comes from Wikimania is best shared.
