How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)?

I attended the wikimania conference both virtually and also an in-person event.

What did you spend the scholarship funds on?

I intended to use the scholarship funds on a better built- in device for Data and ear plugs however I still haven't received the stipend  yet.

Takeaways – choose 3 specific Wikimania sessions you attended and describe your key take-aways per session.

-I attended the sound Logo session-and my take home was the need to attain a formidable sound attribution to the movement to which I inclined to volunteer on the screening international team.

-I attended the session "showing Diversity in the Youth and inclusion through story telling in the Wikimedia movement" Through this session I was able to acknowledge a wiki vibrance movement that has been recognizing and commemorating youth events in the movement. To note still different experiences struck me especially from south Sudan in regards to war hunger and how the country is growing as a new user group. still on diversity and inclusion Kenya is the only Women Led user group in East Africa.

-I attended the session "The challenges of building a community"-in this session I acknowledged the different challenges the community faces for example to mention but a few key points as that there was a lack of volunteering culture missing ,to the lessons on building a community which stemmed from organizing in person /online events and being transparent about decision making which eventually leads to having a spirit of constructive feedback.

Lastly my top notch-cake on the cherry take-home was announcing the Wikipedian of the year and finally meeting Jimmy wales virtually.

How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?

As a user group we had an in-person event that's how we celebrated the conference and that's how we were able to connect with other people locally. International wise it was impossible to connect being that I failed to navigate the Pheedloop app but had a wonderful experience with YouTube however interaction was minimal and hence feedback was difficult.
