How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)?

I attended the Wikimania Virtually through Pheedloop and YouTube.

What did you spend the scholarship funds on?

The scholarship funds was spent on Childcare services, data packages, meals, hardware expenses like webcams and head phones and arranging for power supply.

Learnt about the intersection between Cultural Heritage Education and the Wikimedia projects as well as the importance of open resources such as Wikimedia Commons for generating accessible educational resources

• Showcasing Youth Diversity and Inclusion through Storytelling in the Wikimedia Movement by Euphemia Uwandu, Francesc Fort, Douglas Ssebaggala, et al.

Learnt about the importance and role of young people in attaining wikimedia 2030 and movement sustainability as well as the work of young wikimedians and the people/communities in shaping their journey

• Addressing Climate Change and Environmental Issues using Wikimedia Projects: Revisiting the Green Wiki Campaign by Omorodion Okuonghae and Jeremiah Ugwulebo.

Learnt about the peculiar environmental issues in Nigeria and in most African countries, the possible ways to promote environmental literacy in a region using Wikipedia and the challenges faced in the use of Wikimedia projects to tackle environmental issues.

How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022?

I connected with other people during Wikimadians 2022 through social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook from other states in Nigeria and outside, discussed new project ideas and the possibilities of conducting seminars/workshop on the importance and benefits of Wikimania to university students and youths in my region.

How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?

Watching Wikimania 2022 opening ceremony activities, music sessions (dancing and following the lyrics) and the closing ceremony with my family was the best celebration I had during this event. I also enjoyed the Wiki quizzes and other games.
