How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)? Virtually

What did you spend the scholarship funds on? spend it on Data Subsidy and also a Mini Micro phone and on food.

Takeaways – choose 3 specific Wikimania sessions you attended and describe your key take-aways per session.

1) Writing Women into wiki History’: Experiences and Best Practices’’ presented by Camellia Boban, Effie Kapsallis and Rosie Stephenson. It was Actually a very diversifying one. 2) watching the Philippines dance was another Beautiful session, they displayed their culture while heartedly this shows the diversity in the Wikimedia community. 3) The presentation on “Climate Change and Environmental Issues Using Wikimedia projects: ‘’Revisiting the Green Wiki Campaign’’ presented by Jeremiah Ugwulebo and Ononodion Okwuorghae; This were the 3 sessions I Realy enjoyed and I got to Learn about the diversity in the wiki community. Also the stipends were so helpful in the sense that I used it to purchase a Mini microphone so listening wasn’t an issue for me.

How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022? I connected with other people though PheedLoop,zoom and YouTube. Although most times the network wasn’t favourable but I had to make it possible by all Means because I’ve never attended Wikimania it’s actually my first time so I really wanted to learn about the wikimania event and hopefully 2023 we’ll be there in-person and they won’t be network Interuptions.
