How will the funding requested support your community’s participation at Wikimania?
Please review following eligible activities and expenses below, and write below any that will be included in your activities.
- Childcare services (or similar family services) to support Wikimania participation
- Data packages to distribute to Wikimania participants
- Administrative or operational costs for to distribute funds to community members, such as transfer fees
- Small hardware expenses to support access (such as webcams, microphones, head/earphones)
- Note: Requests for computers, laptops, tablets, and other personal devices are not eligible.
- Translation services for a Wikimania session
- Video production support for pre-recorded Wikimania sessions (such as equipment or space)
- In-person meetups that coincide with Wikimania activities (food, beverage, meeting space)
- Printed artwork, conference swag/merchandise for event participants

Descripción del evento
Una problemática histórica de nuestra comunidad es la cohesión y articulación interna de sus diversos miembros/as. Ciertamente, la pandemia tendió a dificultar aún más este proceso al restringir la posibilidad de encontrarnos y re-crear comunidad. Considerando esto, nos hemos planteado la pregunta acerca de cómo favorecer y animar la integración de las diferentes personas que, desde labores diversas, están colaborando con Wikipedia y Wikimedia en el territorio. Es por esto que decidimos hacer un encuentro local de Wikimania para nuestra comunidad.
La instancia se realizará de manera presencial durante un día, y se articulará en torno a 3 momentos principales:
- 3 lighting talks de miembros de la comunidad.
- Un panel sobre "Desinformación y los proyectos Wikimedia"
- Espacio para crear comunidad

- Los fondos serán destinados para becas de transporte a disposición de la comunidad. Se invitará a los socios y amigos de WIkimedia que estén en otros territorios de Chile para que puedan asistir al evento. La manera de elegir a quién darle la beca será pidiéndole una pequeña carta de motivación y daremos prioridad a quien nunca ha participado de alguna actividad de Wikimedia Chile.
- La beca constará de un monto fijo que se reembolsará a los participantes luego del evento. La idea es poder dar al menos 6 becas, que sería alrededor del 20% de la convocatoria.

Some examples:
- 3-5 participants will receive childcare support to support their participation at Wikimania.
- 10 participants will receive hardware support
- 10-20 participants will receive data packages to support their participation at Wikimania
