- Abstract
The Program & Events Dashboard is a software tool for managing outreach activities within the Wikimedia movement. For several years now, Education Program leaders around the world have been using it to both run their programs during the term and generate statistics on the outcomes of their work, which helps motivate participants and give them real-time numbers that convince them to share their open knowledge with Wikimedia – a key facet of Knowledge as a Service.
In this panel, program leaders from Jordan, the Republic of Macedonia, Serbia, and Indonesia will each share how they’ve used the Program & Events Dashboard in their education programs. Each will talk about ways the Dashboard tool has helped them in their work and what any drawbacks are for its current implementation. Facilitated by a staff person from Wiki Education Foundation, the organization that developed the Dashboard software, this session will then involve the audience in a discussion of what the future of the Dashboard could be, identifying key needs for Education Program participants worldwide.
