Convention Grant Proposal, Approval, and Discussion

edit
  • Laurie Bridges, Nkem Osuigwe, Nuria Ferran, and Rebecca O’Neill (Core Organizing Team) submitted a grant proposal, in March 2022, to the Wikimedia Foundation to fund the first ever Wikimedia + Libraries International Convention. The grant was approved in a transparent application and discussion process. It can be viewed here: Conference Grant Proposal

Multilingual Wikiversity*ies

edit

The Wikimedia+Libraries International Convention might be an english speaking event. Could it be a multilingual meeting too?

We could use (multilingual) Wikiversity pages to document proposals, ideas and outcomes openly – and to link them via d:Q111983324 in Wikidata. I started de:v:WikiLibCon in the german Wikiversität to do so for my up comming proposal. Please feel free to join in whatever other version of the Wikiversity. See my example: de:v:WikiLibCon/Proposal: Taktischer Nearbyismus. (I will submiss the final proposal here in meta too.) --Jeb (talk) 13:41, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Linked Open Storytelling

edit

Approaches of linking Open Data with storytelling or telling stories with Linked Open Data or opening data and stories by telling them, see d:Q66631860

Scholia

edit

How could Scholia help with https://scholia.toolforge.org/event/Q111983324 promoting this Wikimedia+Libraries International Convention?!

Maybe we could encourage attendees at Wikimedia+Libraries to enter their presentations into Wikidata? Which would also mean they need to add themselves to Wikidata (if they are not already there)? Bridges2Information (talk) 04:08, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
