Georgian-Armenian collaboration
editThe Georgian-Armenian collaboration was organized in October 2015 on the basis of previous collaboration projects' experience. 1500+ articles օn Georgian and Armenian history, culture, geography, nature were created and improved on Armenian and Georgian Wikipedias. The collaboration had 46 participants (16 on kawiki and 30 on hywiki), it made possible for two wiki-communities to get closer and promoted the improvement of articles on both countries. Two winners from each country were awarded to visit the neighbor country for 5 days. The visits were organized in April and May. See the usernames of the winners and other stats on the infographic.

Wikimedia Conference 2016
editThe Wikimedia Conference is an annual Wikimedia conference organized in Berlin, April 22-24. Wikimedia Armenia had 3 participants. The conference was an opportunity to exchange ideas with other Wikimedia movement members. We exchanged useful information for our organizations, discussed the grants, fundraising and finances, the movement’s strategy and future.
The conference helped to learn about other Wikimedia chapters' experience and activities, to get acquainted with new people for further cooperation as well as motivated the Armenian participants continue working on WM AM projects with more enthusiasm and new ideas after returning home.
During the conference WM AM representatives had a discussion with one of the Wikimedia España's Board members - Jesús Tramullas to start a mutual project[1]. The result of the collaboration is "The castle's challenge" which was organized in September 2016. More details of the contest will be available in the APG 2015-2016 round2 report.
Saturday Workshops
editEvery Saturday Wikimedia Armenia organizes open workshops edit-a-thons at the WM AM office where new editors are taught how to edit different wiki projects and the experienced editors participate in edit-a-thons dedicated to different themes. Anyone interested in wiki projects, Wikipedia, wiki editing and needing assistance, as well as wiki editors, who want to edit in pleasant atmosphere participate in these workshops. We have about 15-20 participants in each workshop. Among them there are also active wiki editors of hywiki, hywiktionary, hywikisource, Wikidata who help to conduct the workshops.
