Armenian-Iranian edit-a-thon
editBy mutual agreement between the Armenian and Iranian Wikimedia communities, joint, thematic edit-a-thons were organized on Armenian and Persian Wikipedias from November 20 to December 10. Throughout the 20 days of the edit-a-thons, 20 participants from the Armenian wiki community created 241 articles with a volume of 3,773,812 bytes about Armenian-Iranian relations, Iran’s culture, sports, mythology, and monarchs.

They also registered and created accounts on Wikipedia.
The training is a long-term one and will last until April 2025. A special list of articles from English Wikipedia was prepared for the students; they chose articles from the list and will translate them, afterwards they will publish them on Armenian Wikipedia. As per the agreement between the university and Wikimedia Armenia, the created articles per person should add up to 30,000 bytes.
Gift-articles for Wikipedia’s birthday
editOn 15 January 2025, the global Wikimedia community will celebrate Wikipedia’s 24th anniversary. Wikimedia Armenia initiated an edit-a-thon of gift-articles suggesting the Armenian wiki community to create articles starting from December 15 as gifts for Wikipedia’s birthday. The idea is that each participant can make a target of creating 24 articles with a volume of 10 thousand bytes each. It is possible to create less articles as well, however, those who will create 24 or more articles will receive special certificates and the best ones will be awarded some souvenirs.
Participants can create any article they want. The list of suggested articles is only as a help to those who cannot decide what to write.
The edit-a-thon started on December 15 and will last until January 14. The results will be announced on January 15.
