Other important information

Currency
The official currency of N. Macedonia is the Macedonian Denar. We recommend the exchange rate of the Macedonian Denar into other currencies as per National Bank Exchange Rate. You can pay in cash or credit/debit cards in Macedonia in almost all shops, markets, restaurants and cafes.
Language
The official language is Macedonian, which is spoken by the majority of people. English, as a foreign language, is used by significant number of the local residents in various levels of proficiency.
Electricity
The voltage in Macedonia is 220-230 Volts with a frequency of 50Hz. The electric socket used is the European CEE7/7 "Schuko" wall outlet, as well as its non-grounded equivalent, the European CEE7/16 "Europlug". If your equipment uses different sockets, please make sure that you bring correct adapters, as these are hard to find in stores in Macedonia.
Climate
Our conference will be held in October, which is typically early Autumn. However, since it is a city near the lake, the weather can change quite often and it is recommended to have clothes of different types.
