Wikipedia basic workshop

Room 310 was mine for the entirety of the event, which began at 10 a.m. and lasted until 1:15 p.m. Writing about Sentosa in English is what I learned how to do in this training. My participation in this session has equipped me with the knowledge and abilities necessary to write articles in Bajau Samah and the ability to translate articles written in other languages into Bajau Samah, therefore enabling their usage on Wikipedia Incubator.

Wikipedia commons basic workshop

For this course, I spent the time between 2:15 and 4:25 p.m. in room 310. I learned a great deal of valuable information in this course, such as how to properly describe uploaded photos, set up appropriate categories, and investigate pertinent rules.

Wikimania 2023 openin recepion & wikimedian of the year

I was there for the evening opening ceremony, which ran from 5:15 to 6:25 in the plenary chamber. During this gathering, the Wikimedian of the Year will be announced. This award is presented annually to the Wikimedian who has made the most significant contributions during the previous 12 months. Many attendees have remarked on how much they appreciate seeing us in our traditional Bajau Samah garb.

Wiki loves living heritage bazaar

Between 10:40 and 11 o'clock in the morning, this assembly was held in the Plenary Hall. The purpose of this panel was to discuss the future of Singapore's heritage development strategy and to spread awareness of Singaporean culture..

How to edit 'AMIWIKI'

The time and location of this gathering are 12:25-12:45 in room 3.25. The presenters from Taiwan made reference to the Paiwan language. One of Taiwan's minority languages, Paiwan, is in danger of dying out due to official government policies that discourage its usage. The gathering ended with a performance of traditional music and dances.

Wikimania 2023 global group photo

Between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m., the Plenary Hall served as the backdrop for the evening's Global Group Photo. Meeting and photographing Wikimedians from all around the world was a highlight of my trip.

Inauguration of wiki kent club

The first ever Wiki Kent Club meeting will take place that morning between the hours of 9 and 10. The first ever meeting of the Wiki Kent Club was presided over by the Director of the KENT Campus Teacher Education Institute.

Sazau by wikeint and manuk lembukun dances from borneo

The other Wikimania participants got to see four distinct types of traditional dances performed by three members of the Bajau Samah Community and eight members of the IPG KENT Campus. From 1:40 to 1:55, there will be a gathering in the Plenary Hall. During the yearly Manuk Lembukun Dance session, we Wikimedians have the option of donning our traditional attire and dancing the night away with our fellow community members.

Rebranding wikimedia wikimedia for cosplay and ac world

Mr. Dody Ismoyo, President of Wikimedia Malaysia, will be facilitating a session in the Plenary Hall from 1:55 to 2:10 p.m. He spoke about how often he had contributed to Wikimedia projects on the subject of "Cosplay." He also spoke highly of the Wikimedia sites devoted to cosplay, one of his many interests.

Wikimania 2023 dinner and dance

The last night was topped off with a dinner and dance in Gardens by the Bay. A farewell meal was held for all who had attended Wikimania 2023. We visited the Singapore 58th Birthday Flower Show. Later, in the venue where the event was held, we continued the dance party and made some new friends among the Wikimedia community.

Plans after the conference (from what was learned or contributed in the conference)

• Continue to make edits and contributions to the various Wikimedia projects, such as Wiktionary, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikimedia Incubator. Particularly with regard to my own tongue, the Bajau Sama language.
• The documentation of the Bajau Samah language and culture should be a primary focus of Wikimedia initiatives.
• I shall make an effort to investigate possible avenues of collaboration with the Wikimedia community as a whole.
• I am willing to impart the wisdom that I have gained from attending the conference to other others.
• Spread information about the many Wikimedia projects to more people and encourage newcomers to participate.

Comments/ suggestions about the conference

This is the finest event I have ever attended, and if I were to offer one suggestion, it would be to boost attendance at future events. I think it's great that we're having this kind of gathering because I'd like to have a better feel for the range of folks that are members of our organization.
