edit- General description:
The timeslot is reserved for about 5 working groups. These working groups will focus on specific questions or topics, which can lead to an actual answer or solution within the time frame. The working groups can be used to either cover important topics not covered in the set schedule, or to go more in-depth into the topics covered.
GROUP TOPIC: DEVELOPING WORLD
- A give-and-take discussion about how the situation is in each countiry.
Common challenges
edit- There is split between the developing global north and the global south.
- In Kenya/Nairobi we agredd there is a lack of volunteer activity.
- A major problem is the membership fee, as well. Some people are not interested in having membership rights, they are just interested in participating. Please, don't throw them out.
Things that work
edit- Be bold!
- Engaging volunteers and contributors. Less abstract and global, more personal and local. This seems to be particularly effective in the developing world.
- In Argentina horizontal organisation is working.
- offline content
- Impact for bucks. If we give grants to the developing world, this will have great impact.
