What is the project about?

The Community Projects Budget (CPB) is based on a very good idea. The Wikimedia Deutschland office will continue to provide administrative support for the process of submitting and running the approved projects.

The office will also define the options for the future structure of the CPB in coordination with the Board of Wikimedia Deutschland.

The office will help prepare a corresponding motion to the general assembly. In the following round of allocation of funds, the office will adopt the role decided on at the general assembly.

How will this project help us meet our annual goals?

The ideas behind the Community Projects Budget are key to our motto of “Focusing on the communities” and also for our goal of successful collaboration.

It is important that we find a way of implementing the CPB that is as fast and smooth as possible and that is seen as inspiring, productive and in line with our goals.

What are the key milestones along the way and by when should we reach them?

1.	March 11, 2013	Publication of a proposal to restructure the CPB.
2.	May 25-26, 2013	Decision on the new structure of the CPB at the Wikimedia Deutschland general assembly.
3.	June 1, 2013	Start of the new round of calls for projects.
