Wikimedia Education Program/Eluru

Ligua Libre @Telugu is a program designed to created a audio library for all Human settlements and important landmarks in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, in association with Telugu Wikimedians User Group and CIS-A2K.

Objectives

1. To create a audio-library for all Landmarks and Human settlements in Telugu states
2. To create awareness about Wikipedia and its sister projects to students in school itself
3. Engaging students in participating for Wikimedia Projects

Project details

Phase 01

1. The name Wikipedia was introduced to students on 29th of July.
2. Another session was scheduled on 4th of August.
3. Students are trained to read Wikipedia, create an account, [edit] button, etc.
4. Village, Mandal and district names in Andhra Pradesh will be recorded for the articles, in reference with Census of India records.
