What would affiliate leadership list as the top 3 (three) capacities of the affiliate? (e.g. evaluation, community governance, programs and events, organizational governance and resource policies, conflict management, partnerships, fundraising, communication and media relations, contributor development, on-wiki technical skills, policy advocacy, etc) Our extensive experience in editing Wikipedia, combined with our expertise in writing from a gender perspective, positions us to create impactful content.

Our most valuable asset is our presence in two universities: Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) Since 2016, we have led our Wikiwomen editing space, meeting online every two weeks with female editors, students, and newcomers. This initiative encourages participation in the Wikimedia community while fostering collaboration and idea exchange. It exemplifies how universities can drive social change by promoting inclusion and equity in digital culture. University Autonoma Barcelona Since 2017, we have collaborated on the Wikiproject: Gender and Equality, working with students from Graduate Diploma in Gender and Equality and Graduate Diploma in Gender-Based Violence. This project empowers students to transform their classroom knowledge into valuable Wikipedia content, addressing issues of gender equality and sexist violence.

See the results:
We use effective pedagogical methods to tackle the challenges faced by women contributors on Wikipedia. We inspire students to explore women’s issues and teach educators how to guide female students in contributing to discussions on equality and gender violence. Through these efforts, we are fostering a more equitable digital landscape.
We believe that creating a positive experience for new users is essential for increasing the number of active female Wikipedians. Promoting constructive communication practices is key to maintaining a healthy online information ecosystem.

Research shows that female editors often leave the platform after facing toxic comments, highlighting the need for effective mentoring and personalized support to help them engage fully in editing. In our sessions, we address the main challenges new editors face, particularly how to interact with the community and understand its rules. Our goal is to build confidence in Wikipedia by showcasing vital policies on content moderation, such as the neutral point of view, copyright, and standards for encyclopedic relevance. By fostering a welcoming atmosphere, we can encourage a diverse and active editing community.

What are the 3 (three) capacities that the affiliate would like to strengthen in the next 12 months? To foster gender equity in content creation, it is vital to actively recruit more women as Wikipedia editors. Increasing women's representation in decision-making roles is equally important.
By prioritizing the development of both their technical and interpersonal skills, we can empower them for growth and enhance their leadership abilities. This approach will diversify and strengthen the Movement and create a more inclusive environment that encourages and supports the active participation of women in Wiki projects. Together, we can build a richer and more sustainable platform for everyone.
We must actively participate in the 2030 Strategy because decision-making needs to be equitable, ensuring that all voices are heard and considered. We believe in the importance of building an inclusive and diverse movement where decisions are made collaboratively and representatively. To achieve this, it is essential to empower women and ensure their representation in Wikimedia for gender equity. As highlighted on the activities page, we have engaged in as many meetings as possible concerning the 2030 Strategy.
What are the organizations, community projects, or groups that the affiliate had been working or seeking to work with to develop and support the 3 capacities? We are members of Iberocoop and have represented it at Wikimania. Additionally, we are involved with the Wikiwomen task force and serve on its advisory board. We also collaborate with Amical Wikimedia, focusing on promoting and disseminating Catalan terminology, particularly terms related to women. Recently, at the Celtic Nook, we presented a project on the terminology of women in the labor market
